Introduction
General Growth Properties, Inc., 110 N Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL 60606 ("GGP") is offering a game of chance (the "Game") to promote its malls, websites and email marketing.
No purchase or entry fee is required. The Game rules will be available online at http://www.ggpmall.com/winatrip.asp
1. How to Play
Participants are entered in the Game by entering online through http://www.ggpmall.com/winatrip.asp.
There will be one (1) Grand Prize Winner ("winner") selected from all of the eligible entries received. GGP is not responsible for any problems including replenishment of forms or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this Game. If, for any reason, the Game is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of GGP which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Game or for any reason GGP deems it necessary. GGP reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Game.
2. How to Win
One winner will be chosen by a random electronic drawing on or around June 10, 2008 among all of the eligible entries received. The winner will be notified by email only and will be required to respond within seven (7) days of notification. The prize is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in these official rules. Entries are valid for the duration of the Game, the timing of which is set forth below. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
3. Timing
The Game is known as "Shop and Dine Boston Sweepstakes" and will begin at 8:00 AM (CST) on March 1, 2008 and end at 5:00 PM (CST) on May 30, 2008 (the "Game Period"). All times and dates are subject to change at the sole and absolute discretion of GGP.
4. Claiming Prizes
Winner must make arrangements with GGP's travel sponsor, Travelogix, by October 27, 2008 to reserve travel dates, or the prize will be automatically forfeited. GGP will provide all applicable information in regards to corresponding with Travelogix upon notification of prize. Prize must be used between June 10, 2008 and December 10, 2008, or the prize will be automatically forfeited. Travel is non-transferable and blackout dates and restrictions may apply. No substitution, transfer or cash alternative permitted, except by GGP or its sponsors due to prize unavailability at time of award in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Unless specified otherwise by GGP, no cash will be awarded. Winner is responsible for any applicable taxes on travel. Winner must sign an affidavit of eligibility and release of GGP and its affiliates and sponsors from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action for personal injury and/or damage, theft, or loss suffered in connection with this promotion or the use or acceptance of the prize or any portion thereof to be eligible for the prize; and where permitted, a promotional release granting the right to use his or her name and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation; entry into this Game constitutes the winner's agreement to sign such affidavit and release. The winner must also complete all legal documents and return them to GGP within three (3) working days after receipt of such documents. Noncompliance will result in disqualification of the winner and an alternate winner may be selected from among all remaining eligible entries, in GGP's sole discretion. The receipt by winner of any of the prize components of this Game is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, state and local rules and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY WINNER (AT GGP'S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN WINNER'S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE GAME AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.
The value of the prize may be taxable as income. Upon receipt of the prize, the winner is required to comply with any and all applicable federal, state and local tax that becomes due with respect to the prize(s).
5. Prize and Odds
The prize offered in the Game consists of a two (2) night stay in a premier hotel (at GGP's sponsors discretion and based on availability), one (1) $1,000 GGP Mall Gift Card to be used at Natick Collection and/or Faneuil Hall Marketplace (subject to terms and conditions of the card), and roundtrip airfare for two (2) people to and from Boston, Massachusetts from anywhere within the continental United States (i.e., specifically excluding Hawaii, Alaska and all U.S. Territories) and to be booked using GGP's travel sponsor, Travelogix. No refunds or credit for changes are allowed. No cash or other substitution permitted, except by GGP or its sponsors who reserve the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value in the event of unavailability. The odds of winning the prize depend on the total number of participants in the Game.
6. Who is Eligible
The Game is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States who are 18 years of age or older. Employees of General Growth Properties and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, sponsors and agents, and the immediate family (defined as parents, children, siblings, husband, wife, or life partner) of each such employee, together with those with whom such employees are domiciled, are not eligible. There is a limit of 1 entry per email account with a maximum of 2 entries per person. Additional entries from the same email account or in excess of 2 from the same person will be disqualified. Void where prohibited by law.
7. General Terms and Conditions
Except where prohibited by law, participation in the Game constitutes the winner's consent to GGP's use of the winner's name, city, state, and county, likeness, photograph, statements made by the winner about the Game, GGP, or prize information for promotional purposes in any media without payment or consideration. All entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry, and any potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder for that email address. The "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned to an email address by an Internet service provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email address for the domain. By receipt of any prize, the winner agrees to release and hold harmless GGP, its related companies, and its officers, directors, employees, sponsors and agents from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Game or receipt or use of the prize. All entries become the property of GGP, and none will be returned.
All interpretations of the rules and decisions by GGP are final. GGP reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the game or website; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE GAME IS IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, GGP RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
8. By selecting the designated "opt-in" feature when registering for the Game, entrants agree to allow either GGP or GGP's sponsors or both and their respective representatives and agents to access entrant's name, zip code, email address and all other information located on the entry form and to allow GGP and/or GGP's respective affiliates and sponsors to contact them for marketing purposes.

9. Winner agrees that GGP, its subsidiaries, affiliates, sponsors, related companies and employees shall have no liability in connection with acceptance or use of any of the prizes awarded herein.
